Rubrik's Enterprise Data Protection (EDP) division is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Active Directory and Okta identity infrastructure team. This role focuses on protecting critical identity systems and integrating them into Rubrik's security platform.
You will own end-to-end technical solutions for identity data protection, including backup, restore, and security integration capabilities. Working closely with product, sales, and distributed engineering teams, you'll debug complex issues, implement scalable backend solutions, and provide US-time customer support for proof-of-concepts and deployments.
Key responsibilities include architecting and developing large-scale distributed systems, serving as a domain expert for identity protection features, mentoring other engineers, and driving process improvements. You'll collaborate with customers to understand their needs, resolve deployment issues, and shape the strategic direction of identity protection products.
Required: Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or related field; 6+ years of industry experience solving complex problems; strong proficiency in Go, Java, C/C++, Scala, or Python; cloud experience (AWS/Azure); expertise in distributed systems and data storage; proven ability to guide engineers; customer-facing problem-solving experience; excellent communication skills.
Preferred: Windows Server and Active Directory knowledge; Entra-ID or OKTA proficiency; Microsoft Windows ecosystem experience; Identity and Access Management (IAM) concepts; identity security fundamentals (users, groups, roles, NHI).
