Braze is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Content Cards team, which builds the systems powering in-app engagement across customers' websites and applications. The team focuses on transforming in-product surfaces into dynamic, personalized experiences that adapt to user behavior in real time. In this role, you will own the full stack of content card functionality—from message definition and composition to targeting, delivery semantics, and analytics. You'll also contribute to a feature-rich dashboard that enables brands and UX teams to seamlessly manage in-product messaging experiences. As a senior engineer, you'll build new capabilities, improve reliability and performance, and help guide key architectural decisions as the platform scales. Key responsibilities include driving ambitious initiatives that expand what customers can build on high-value surfaces, unlocking new ways to present and orchestrate content, and strengthening platform foundations that accelerate future innovation across in-product channels. You'll be expected to raise the bar through strong technical leadership, thoughtful system design, and clear communication. Required qualifications: 5+ years of full-stack development experience, proven track record of driving complex projects from ambiguity to delivery, strong understanding of system design, data structures, and algorithms, and self-starter mentality with excellent communication and organizational skills. Bonus qualifications include experience building software at immense scale (especially customer-facing platforms with high reliability requirements), professional experience with Ruby, Sidekiq, TypeScript/JavaScript, and React, and familiarity with agile development processes. Compensation includes base salary of $144,000–$234,000/year, with OTE of $128,842–$209,368/year (including bonus), plus equity grants (RSUs), comprehensive benefits, flexible PTO, retirement plans, professional development support, and hybrid work flexibility.
