You will own features end-to-end, from initial design conversations through production deployment. This includes influencing architecture decisions, collaborating closely with product, design, and business stakeholders, and ensuring system reliability as the platform scales. You'll invest in your teammates through knowledge sharing, code review, and helping raise the collective technical ceiling. You'll stay current with AI trends and contribute to a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
The role is full-stack, requiring comfort moving fluidly between backend logic, database design, and frontend UX within the same sprint. You'll use AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) as genuine force multipliers, not novelties. The team values shipping over stack choices and rewards scrappy, opinionated engineers who think like product owners.
Requirements:
- 7+ years building and shipping production systems across the full stack
- Track record of owning problems end-to-end: defining scope, delivering solutions, not just executing tickets
- Strong instincts across the stack: backend logic, database design, frontend UX
- Fluency with relational databases and search fundamentals
- Hands-on daily experience with AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, etc.) and demonstrable productivity gains
- Must be local and available to work in-office 5 days per week at Lehi, UT headquarters
Preferred:
- Experience at a fast-moving startup or SaaS company
- Familiarity with distributed systems concepts (queues, event-driven architecture, horizontal scaling)
- Exposure to Elixir/Phoenix, React, PostgreSQL, or genuine curiosity to learn them quickly
- Genuine interest in helping teammates grow
