Salary: USD 163,100 - 215,000 / annual
Algolia is a market-leading AI Search platform powering 18,000+ businesses and 30 billion search requests weekly. The Growth organization focuses on helping customers understand and maximize Algolia's capabilities through product improvements, new features, and exceptional user experience.
In this Senior Software Engineer role, you'll be a fullstack engineer working on the Growth platform—a critical initiative to help developers and product teams get started with Algolia quickly. You'll shape the user experience for new customers, mentor other engineers, and establish best practices across the team.
Recent projects include new data integrations with developer platforms, marketplace and billing integrations, internal platforms (notifications, experimentation, feature flagging), and AI-based data processing systems.
Key responsibilities:
- Design and develop innovative solutions to help users maximize Algolia's features
- Execute experiments and A/B tests to validate product decisions
- Collaborate with Product and Design teams to identify growth opportunities
- Mentor software engineers and contribute to their growth
- Build and scale the growth platform architecture
- Work cross-functionally to establish a solid growth foundation
- Improve engineering quality, processes, and tooling
- Help define team roadmap using a bottom-up approach where teams drive their own initiatives
You should have:
- Passion for delivering excellent UX to diverse users (engineers, marketers, merchandisers, etc.)
- Data-driven mindset with ability to measure impact
- Experience with event-driven infrastructure (GCP or AWS)
- Server-side language experience (Ruby preferred; Golang planned)
- Fullstack capability: JavaScript, TypeScript, React, HTML/CSS
- Willingness to learn new technologies
Nice-to-have: scale-up or growth team experience, analytics platform familiarity (Amplitude, Hex).
