Founded in 2015, the company has raised ~$250M and is valued at $1.6B, backed by Sequoia Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, and others. As a Senior Software Engineer on the Growth team, you will be critical to accelerating product growth through rapid experimentation, data analysis, and scalable technical solutions. You'll work at the intersection of engineering, product, marketing, and data science, implementing best practices in technology, architecture, and process while optimizing funnels, automating growth loops, and shipping features with measurable impact. Key responsibilities include developing engineering strategies for rapid experimentation and data-driven decision-making; collaborating cross-functionally with Product, Design, Marketing, Data Science, and Engineering to optimize growth metrics; architecting and building scalable systems for onboarding flows, personalization engines, and viral loops; implementing A/B testing and data instrumentation; leveraging automation and machine learning to optimize engagement and reduce churn; producing clean, well-documented code; maintaining code quality and continuous delivery; ensuring technical excellence in performance, security, and scalability; communicating progress and blockers effectively; and working as part of a large global team. Tech stack includes Ruby/Rails, React.js, TypeScript, Redux, Node.js, Python, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Ansible, Terraform, Grafana, Kibana, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/GCP, and GitHub Actions. You should be proactive, take ownership of shipped work, communicate effectively across technical and non-technical audiences, help teammates overcome obstacles, seek feedback for growth, bring creative ideas, demonstrate excellent leadership and stakeholder management, and be comfortable with ambiguity while obsessing over metrics (LTV, CAC, retention) and rapid iteration. Experience leveraging AI tools to enhance software development is valued.
