Gridware is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Grid Communications & Platform team. You will play a critical role in developing and maintaining the core platform infrastructure that powers Gridware's Active Grid Response (AGR) system—a groundbreaking technology for electrical grid management.
In this role, you will:
- Design and implement robust communication protocols and systems that enable real-time data exchange between grid sensors, monitoring systems, and control platforms
- Develop scalable backend services and APIs that support the AGR platform's core functionality
- Collaborate with hardware engineers, data scientists, and product teams to integrate sensor data streams and enable proactive grid management
- Architect solutions for high-reliability, low-latency grid communications
- Contribute to platform modernization and technical debt reduction
- Mentor junior engineers and participate in code reviews
You bring 5+ years of software engineering experience with strong expertise in distributed systems, real-time data processing, or communications protocols. You have a track record of shipping production systems at scale and are comfortable working in fast-moving, mission-driven environments. Experience with grid technology, IoT, or critical infrastructure is a plus but not required.
