As a Senior Software Engineer on the Global Payroll team, you will drive the development of Rippling's full-service payroll platform, which handles payroll configuration and calculations for hundreds of thousands of employees worldwide. This role offers significant autonomy and impact, with opportunities to shape product strategy and own initiatives from conception through execution.
Key responsibilities include:
- Partnering with design and product leadership to define vision, strategy, and roadmap for the payroll platform, balancing platform and product considerations
- Building and rearchitecting core platform components to support scaling and new functionality
- Implementing maintainable, high-quality, reliable solutions that grow with the business
- Mentoring other engineers and fostering their professional development
- Enforcing high engineering standards and raising the bar for technical excellence
