Snowflake's Customer Experience Engineering team is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Fullstack) to build intelligent data applications that surface insights from diagnostic data and technical content. This role focuses on creating features within the Snowflake product that reduce friction points for customers and prevent escalations to support teams.
You will work across a modern full-stack: React, TypeScript, Node.js, Java, SQL, and Nginx. Key responsibilities include implementing projects across the entire stack, collaborating with product and design teams on product vision, delivering features that require coordination across multiple partner teams, and designing AI-powered features and diagnostic tools. You will take full ownership of code quality, including catching and resolving errors from AI-assisted development before production deployment. A significant aspect of this role involves establishing team norms and practices around AI-assisted development and code review.
The ideal candidate has 4+ years of full-stack software engineering experience building modern application architectures, high-performance APIs, and scalable SaaS systems. You should have deep expertise in at least one core area of the stack (React, TypeScript, Java, or SQL) and strong proficiency in a second. Experience designing or shipping AI-powered features, intelligent data pipelines, or LLM-integrated user experiences is required. You must demonstrate practical fluency with AI-assisted development tools and a clear framework for tool selection and risk mitigation. A proven track record of influencing team practices—such as conducting AI code reviews or updating PR standards—is expected. Strong fundamentals in unit testing, code reviews, design documentation, and telemetry instrumentation are essential. Excellent communication skills and genuine enjoyment collaborating with diverse peers round out the profile.
This is an opportunity to help build an industry-leading data management system serving thousands of customers and hundreds of millions of complex queries daily, working alongside both industry veterans and rising talent.
