GoGuardian is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Fullstack to design and implement architectural solutions for their New Products Team, which focuses on building campus safety and management features for K-12 schools.
You will work across the full technology stack: designing scalable Node/Go backend services that serve hundreds of thousands of teachers and students, building intuitive React frontends with TypeScript, and optimizing SQL databases for large-scale analytics. Key responsibilities include developing high-performance backend services for real-time campus workflows, building data-rich frontend experiences, designing gRPC and REST APIs, optimizing database schemas and queries, implementing asynchronous background workers, integrating LLM/AI services for intelligent features like generative reporting, and contributing infrastructure-as-code using Terraform for AWS.
You'll also mentor and coach developers, participate in architecture discussions and code reviews, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. The role requires 5+ years of professional experience leading complex, large-scale features with strong expertise in Node/Go production services, React with TypeScript, API design (gRPC/REST), SQL optimization (PostgreSQL preferred), caching strategies (Redis), AWS services (ECS, Aurora, Athena, S3, SQS), Docker, and container orchestration. You should be a proven advocate for engineering quality, have excellent communication skills, and be passionate about impacting education.
