Midi Health is the largest virtual care clinic for women navigating perimenopause, menopause, and other hormonal transitions. The company combines expert clinicians, evidence-based protocols, and modern technology to deliver historically underserved care. You'll join the engineering team building products that power the entire patient journey—from discovery and booking through ongoing care—as well as clinician and operational surfaces that enable care delivery at scale. In this role, you will design, build, and own full-stack features end-to-end across patient-facing, clinician, and operational products. You'll partner closely with product, design, marketing, clinical, and operations stakeholders to translate ambiguous problems into shipped software. You'll write thoughtful, scalable code that balances execution speed with long-term maintainability, contribute to architecture decisions, and help raise the bar for code quality, testing, and CI/CD practices. Code review, technical mentorship, and helping teammates level up are core responsibilities. The team is AI-native: you'll use modern AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, etc.) daily to multiply your output and help the team adopt better workflows. The company operates on a hybrid model: two days per week in-office (Tuesday and Thursday) in either the Palo Alto or San Francisco office. The culture emphasizes low-ego, high-curiosity collaboration, technical rigor over politics, and outcome-oriented execution. You'll drive significant projects from brainstorming through architecture, execution, rollout, and iteration, shipping user-facing software that meaningfully changes how women experience healthcare. REQUIREMENTS: - 6+ years of experience building and shipping full-stack web applications at production scale - Strong hands-on coding skills in a modern web stack (Django/DRF and React/Next.js preferred; equivalent experience acceptable) - Seasoned at system design: ability to take ambiguous product problems and produce clean, pragmatic architectures - Solid command of AI coding tools; comfortable adopting and applying team workflows - Good mentorship instincts; shares context generously and helps peers grow through code review and pairing - Strong written and verbal communication; collaborates well with non-engineering stakeholders - Proactive ownership mindset; advocates for automated testing, CI, and high code quality - Low-ego, curious, humble NICE TO HAVE: - Experience in healthcare, EHR integrations, or other regulated domains - Prior consumer-facing startup experience
