Salary: USD 171,000 - 190,000 / annual
Flock Safety is a public safety technology platform that supports first responders in investigating and solving crime. The company has processed over 1 million criminal investigations and helped locate more than 10,000 missing people, operating at scale with 1,700+ employees and over $1B in funding.
You will architect and scale core platform engines powering user onboarding, identity management, and granular privacy controls. This is a full-stack role where you own the entire vertical—from React user interfaces to database schemas to backend microservices.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and building end-to-end web applications and resilient APIs using TypeScript, Node.js, and React
- Working across relational databases and varied data stores, writing complex SQL and designing scalable data models for mission-critical workflows
- Containerizing applications with Docker and deploying microservices to Kubernetes via Helm on AWS infrastructure (S3, API Gateway, SQS)
- Solving complex authentication, authorization, and data security challenges to keep the platform performant and secure
- Building core platform features from scratch and directly shaping product growth in a fast-paced environment
You bring strong experience building modern web applications and APIs with TypeScript, Node.js, and React. You have solid database fundamentals with hands-on SQL experience, practical containerization and Kubernetes deployment skills, and familiarity with AWS cloud services. You approach technical challenges proactively, commit to code quality, and thrive in scaling organizations where the stakes are real.
