Salary: USD 210,000 - 230,000 / annual
Owner is an AI-native platform helping local business owners (starting with restaurants) succeed by replacing the fragmented tools they currently use. The system powers websites, online ordering, CRM, POS, and more—functioning as an agentic assistant that drives demand, converts it, and helps operators run their business day-to-day.
Since 2020, Owner has generated tens of millions in revenue, processed over a billion dollars in online orders, and helped over 20,000 restaurant owners save nearly $200 million in fees. The company is scaling rapidly with a team in the low hundreds, drawing top talent from Shopify, HubSpot, DoorDash, ServiceTitan, Rappi, Faire, and Stripe.
In this role, you will own the Launch experience end-to-end—the product surfaces, flows, and communications that take restaurant owners from initial Grader scan to live on the Owner platform with minimal friction and maximum trust. Launch is one of Owner's three must-win product-led growth (PLG) battles in 2026.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and building the onboarding flows, progress communications, upgrade prompts, and AI-assisted setup moments that owners interact with as they move through the value ladder
- Increasing launches per launch specialist by building automation, tooling, and AI-assisted setup that reduces manual effort
- Growing self-serve ARR by building upgrade flows and AI-powered moments that help owners discover and adopt more of the platform independently
- Surfacing proof of value at every step—showing owners what Owner has done for them and why the next step makes sense
- Partnering with the AI Agents and Owner App teams to integrate AI-powered features into the launch journey
You'll work with a remote-first, globally distributed team. The tech stack includes React, Next.js, and TypeScript on the frontend; Node.js and TypeScript on the backend; and MongoDB and PostgreSQL for databases.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of software engineering experience with meaningful time shipping customer-facing product features
- Extensive TypeScript experience with strong React skills—comfortable owning the full frontend of a feature, not just contributing to one
- Experience scaling with the frontend stack (React, Next.js) and/or backend stack (Node.js, MongoDB)
- Experience building onboarding, activation, or upgrade flows where user experience and communication of value drove the outcome
- Experience at a product-focused startup or scale-up where you shipped end-to-end with a small team
- High degree of cross-functional collaboration—past colleagues in product, design, and business would speak highly of your teamwork
- Strong sense of ownership and drive, excellent communication, and proactive approach to identifying and solving problems
