Fanatics is a global digital sports platform connecting fans to sports commerce, collectibles, and betting. The Fanatics Core team builds shared foundations—identity, payments, loyalty, wallet, data, and platform—that power all product lines. The Loyalty SDK team specifically owns the technology enabling consistent loyalty experiences (FanCash) across the entire company.
As a Senior Software Engineer on this team, you will design, build, and operate high-throughput, high-availability services that power the Fan Ecosystem. This is a hands-on, full-stack role with backend center of gravity: primarily Go services and APIs, with meaningful TypeScript/React frontend contributions.
Key responsibilities include: designing and owning medium-to-large features end-to-end; breaking down ambiguous problems into scoped work; leading design and architecture reviews; setting code review standards; mentoring engineers and onboarding new hires; participating in on-call rotations and incident response; improving reliability, performance, and cost of systems; paying down technical debt; partnering with product and design on roadmap decisions; and influencing engineering strategy and best practices.
You will own significant technical surface area, set technical direction across multiple services and teams, and raise the engineering bar through mentorship, design leadership, and hands-on delivery. The role requires deep understanding of the sports commerce and betting industry, product roadmap, and feature set to inform better technical decisions.
