New Relic is seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join the Monetization Adoption team in Bangalore. You will work on core data infrastructure that powers New Relic's observability platform, processing millions of messages per second and handling petabytes of data across distributed systems.
In this role, you will independently design, develop, and deploy scalable features across the full stack. On the frontend, you'll work with modern UI frameworks like React to build polished, production-ready interfaces. On the backend, you'll develop high-performance services in Java or Python that handle massive data volumes with multi-threaded, highly concurrent architectures.
Key responsibilities include:
- Full-stack feature delivery: design and deploy scalable solutions from UI to backend
- AI integration: implement AI-enhanced workflows and develop MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers to expose New Relic's telemetry data to LLMs and AI agents
- System ownership: ensure reliability and performance of services processing petabyte-scale data
- Code excellence: write clean, well-tested, maintainable code and participate in peer reviews
- Collaboration: work with Product Managers and Designers to translate requirements into production software
- Performance optimization: identify and resolve bottlenecks across the entire stack
Required qualifications:
- 5+ years of professional full-stack software development experience, ideally in SaaS or product-based environments
- Strong frontend proficiency with React (preferred) or Angular/similar frameworks; solid JavaScript/TypeScript, CSS, and modern web standards
- Backend expertise in Java or Python with solid OOP, RESTful APIs, and multi-threaded programming knowledge
- Experience designing and building secure, performant RESTful APIs or GraphQL
- Experience with distributed systems, relational or NoSQL databases, and writing performant queries at scale
- Experience or strong interest in AI/ML integration, specifically LLM APIs and MCP servers
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex issues across the technical stack
Nice-to-have skills include familiarity with Go or other high-performance backend languages, and experience with observability tools (New Relic, Prometheus, Grafana) or big data platforms (Kafka, Spark).
