Salary: USD 200,000 - 370,000 / annual
StubHub is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack) to develop, optimize, and maintain backend and frontend components across multiple programming languages and frameworks. The role focuses on ensuring high performance, reliability, and cross-platform consistency while solving advanced technical challenges in concurrency, distributed data consistency, latency reduction, and cross-service interactions.
Key responsibilities include refactoring and improving core platforms through system-level optimizations and infrastructure enhancements to increase stability and scalability. You will design and implement features and services that improve system responsiveness and operational reliability, balancing technical innovation with production readiness. The role involves contributing to robust monitoring, observability, and incident-response processes to ensure resilient and highly available platform operations.
You will collaborate with engineering peers to review architectures, share technical knowledge, and adopt high standards for software design, testing, and deployment. The position requires implementing technically complex solutions that advance platform capabilities and support sustained operational excellence across multiple services. You will build and enhance large-scale, distributed systems that support millions of users, focusing on high availability, fault tolerance, and maintainable architectures.
Required experience includes 3+ years with user-centered design principles, .NET and C# development, TypeScript and React for UI development, web-based point-of-sale (POS) systems for ticket reselling, SQL Server optimization, and full-stack development including scalable APIs and microservices for global applications.
The position is hybrid, permitting telecommuting up to 2 days per week. Primary office location is StubHub, Inc., 65 Enterprise, Suite 33, Aliso Viejo, CA 92656.
