Ripple is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join the Cash Forecasting team, a critical AI-amplified treasury solution that helps CFOs and treasury teams achieve real-time cash visibility and predictive accuracy. The platform processes over $100 billion in daily cash flow for enterprise customers across 40+ countries, integrating seamlessly with major ERPs and banking systems to automatically capture, categorize, and analyze transactional data. You'll design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs using Ruby on Rails and React, working across a large, sophisticated multi-tenant SaaS codebase built for enterprise-grade security and scalability. Key responsibilities include owning the data layer with a strong emphasis on PostgreSQL and SQL, writing thorough test coverage using RSpec, packaging and deploying services using Docker within AWS infrastructure, and instrumenting systems with strong observability practices. You'll benchmark and profile code to identify performance bottlenecks, collaborate with product managers and designers to translate business needs into technical solutions, participate in code reviews and technical design discussions, and embrace the YBIYRI (you-build-it-you-run-it) ethos including on-call pager rotation. You bring 4-8 years of professional software development experience with a backend lean, strong SQL fundamentals and hands-on PostgreSQL experience, comfort working within large existing codebases, scripting ability for automation, Docker or containerization experience, Git proficiency, and fluency in at least one major programming language (Ruby, Python, or Java). Experience with AI tools throughout the development lifecycle is expected. Preferred qualifications include Ruby/Rails expertise, React frontend experience, AWS familiarity, multi-tenant enterprise SaaS platform experience, observability tooling knowledge, code profiling experience, and financial industry background in treasury, payments, FX, or ERP systems.
