As a Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack), you will design, build, and scale user-facing web applications that power Modern Health's core product experiences. This role requires strong backend engineering expertise complemented by solid frontend skills, with emphasis on usability, quality, and software craftsmanship.
Key responsibilities include:
- Partner with product managers and designers to define and build features addressing real user needs
- Design, build, and iterate on end-to-end product features connecting backend systems with frontend experiences
- Develop and maintain backend services and APIs (REST and/or GraphQL) powering user-facing applications and service-to-service interactions (synchronous and asynchronous)
- Build and refine frontend components using modern frameworks like React, focusing on usability, performance, and user experience
- Model and manage application data using relational databases like PostgreSQL
Modern Health operates as a fully remote, hyper-growth company with a culture centered on high empathy and high accountability. The company requires overlapping hours for team connectivity; US-based team members outside Pacific time zone must work at least six hours between 8 am and 5 pm Pacific time daily. The role is not eligible for Hawaii remote work.
