InnovaMat is an educational organization founded in 2017 in Barcelona, focused on transforming how mathematics is learned. You will be a Senior Software Engineer with deep frontend expertise (5+ years) driving the development of complex educational applications end-to-end. Your primary responsibilities include:
• Leading the technical direction of frontend architecture, standards, tools, and workflows for the content team
• Shepherding features from concept through classroom deployment: collaborating with educators and designers, building, refining, measuring results, and iterating
• Contributing across InnovaMat's web ecosystem, including the classroom management platform where teachers organize materials and track student progress
• Visiting schools quarterly to see your work in action and understand the real-world impact
The core technical challenge is leading the migration of InnovaMat's activity catalog from Unity to web. You'll architect the new activity runtime, establishing strong foundations for interactivity, student feedback, scoring, telemetry, and performance.
You excel if you have:
• A track record shipping complex products end-to-end with portfolio examples
• Strong TypeScript and React expertise with clear opinions on performance, state management, and frontend architecture
• A growth mindset; you've integrated AI agents into your development workflow over the past year while maintaining quality and best practices
• Some backend experience and comfort working full-stack
• Meticulous attention to detail and genuine care about how your work feels, not just whether it functions
• A product-engineering mindset with real interest in understanding users and solving their problems
