Salary: USD 195,000 - 250,000 / annual
Maven Clinic is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for Frontend Engineering to join a full-stack product engineering team focused on creating engaging, human-centered experiences for enrollment and product adoption. You will develop responsive, accessible, and optimized web and mobile applications using modern frontend technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, and React.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing responsive, accessible web and mobile applications using React, TypeScript, and related frontend technologies
- Supporting front-end architecture and tooling with Node.js and server-side rendering for scalable applications
- Integrating frontend components with backend APIs and services in collaboration with backend developers
- Working with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to translate user needs into technical specifications
- Ensuring security, scalability, and performance of frontend applications
- Testing and debugging code to maintain high-quality standards
- Participating in code reviews, pair programming, and collaborative activities
- Mentoring junior developers and leading technical projects
- Contributing to code documentation and the company's knowledge base
Minimum qualifications include 5+ years of professional frontend web development experience, strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, and modern frameworks like React or Vue.js, experience with responsive design and mobile-first development, web performance optimization, web accessibility, unit testing tools (Jest), automated testing frameworks (Selenium, Cypress), Git version control, and Agile environments. Senior-level candidates should demonstrate experience leading projects, mentoring junior developers, working independently on technical initiatives, and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
