Join Coinbase's Consumer Product Group as a Senior Frontend Software Engineer on the Coinbase Card team. You'll own end-to-end frontend development for core card experiences, including transactions, rewards, onboarding, and account management across web and mobile platforms. The team is consolidating Coinbase One Card (credit) and Coinbase Card (debit) onto a unified platform, offering greenfield feature work and direct impact on millions of customers.
Key responsibilities include building new user-facing features such as authorized card users, reward offers, and real-time transaction status trackers. You'll partner with product, design, and backend engineering to scope, prioritize, and ship projects that reduce customer support contact rates and improve overall experience. You'll identify and resolve frontend performance bottlenecks across card user experience journeys, driving measurable improvements in latency and availability SLOs.
Required qualifications: 5+ years of software engineering experience with deep expertise in React and React Native. You should have a proven track record of shipping consumer-facing products end-to-end in high-scale environments, with focus on performance, reliability, and user experience. Experience owning SLOs and driving measurable improvements in latency and availability for user-facing flows is essential. You'll demonstrate ability to mentor junior engineers and operate as a senior technical voice on a team of mixed levels. The role expects responsible use of generative AI while maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs.
