Join Datadog as a Senior Frontend Engineer on a feature team responsible for building intuitive, responsive products that help thousands of customers monitor system health and performance at scale. You'll work with React and TypeScript to streamline data flow, enable seamless navigation between views, and build a powerful yet user-friendly platform.
You will tackle complex frontend challenges handling massive datasets, working on exciting scalability and performance problems. Your users are developers, so you'll feel close to the product and have direct impact on the development world. You'll be part of a community of 200+ passionate frontend engineers surrounded by experts.
Key responsibilities include: collaborating closely with backend engineers, product managers, and designers to refine design concepts; breaking down complex features into distributable tasks and rollout plans; designing and delivering features impacting thousands of users; experimenting with and advocating for new systems, design patterns, and tooling; contributing to an in-house design system; owning meaningful service components and improving performance; and participating in hackathons, monthly demos, and yearly frontend summits.
You bring several years of UI design and engineering experience, mastery of the JavaScript ecosystem, knowledge of design patterns for reusable components, familiarity with data structures, algorithms, profiling and optimization. You value code simplicity, performance, and attention to detail. You're excited about leveraging AI tools to enhance coding and problem-solving, with demonstrated ability to use AI coding tools in workflows and validate AI-generated output. Bonus: motivation to push boundaries of how AI improves software engineering practices.
