Salary: USD 192,000 - 240,000 / annual
Brex is an intelligent finance platform enabling companies to spend smarter and move faster across 200+ markets. The platform combines global corporate cards and banking with spend management, bill pay, and travel software, powered by AI-native automation.
As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you will work across the entire Brex stack to create and maintain new products and features that help scale the platform. You'll build tools and experiences that enable founders and finance teams to accelerate operations, gain real-time visibility, and control spend effortlessly. The role emphasizes being metric and data-driven, thinking creatively about how to scale Brex into new markets, and leading multi-functional projects with multiple moving pieces.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with engineers across the company to build new features and products
- Working side-by-side with customer-facing teams (Sales, Support) to understand customer needs
- Designing and implementing experiments to improve customer experiences
- Owning problems end-to-end, considering user experience, data models, scalability, operability, and metrics
- Tuning and polishing features to a high degree of excellence
The role is based in the Seattle office with a hybrid arrangement requiring a minimum of three coordinated days in the office per week (Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays). Up to four weeks per year of fully remote work is available.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of professional experience with modern frontend technologies and tools (ES6+, React, TypeScript, Webpack)
- Experience architecting, developing, and testing client-side code end to end
- Experience developing client-facing software products
- Ability to uphold high engineering standards
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Bonus qualifications:
- Experience collaborating with product, design, and operations specialists
- Experience developing in React Native for mobile
- Basic experience with design tools
