Brex is an intelligent finance platform enabling companies to spend smarter and move faster across 200+ markets. The platform combines global corporate cards and banking with spend management, bill pay, and travel software. As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you'll work across Brex's full stack to create and maintain products and features that help scale the platform and deliver exceptional financial software experiences.
You'll be responsible for designing and implementing client-side code end-to-end, owning problems from user experience through data models, scalability, operability, and metrics. You'll collaborate with engineers across the company, work closely with user-facing teams (Sales, Support) to understand customer needs, and design experiments to improve customer experiences. The role emphasizes metric-driven thinking, creative problem-solving, and leading multi-functional projects with high technical standards.
Key responsibilities include building new features and products with cross-functional teams, developing client-facing software products, architecting and testing client-side code, and tuning features to a high degree of excellence. You'll have the opportunity to drive direct business impact and shape long-term technical vision.
The role is based in Seattle with a hybrid arrangement requiring a minimum of three coordinated days in-office per week (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday), plus up to four weeks per year of fully remote work. You'll work with modern frontend technologies including ES6+, React, TypeScript, and Webpack. Bonus experience includes React Native for mobile, design tool familiarity, and collaboration with product, design, and operations specialists.
