Salary: USD 192,000 - 240,000 / annual
Brex is an intelligent finance platform serving tens of thousands of companies globally, offering corporate cards, banking, spend management, bill pay, and travel software. As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you'll work across Brex's full stack to create and maintain products and features that help companies spend smarter and move faster.
You'll be responsible for designing and implementing client-side code end-to-end, owning problems from user experience through data models, scalability, operability, and metrics. You'll collaborate with engineers across the company, work closely with customer-facing teams (Sales, Support) to understand customer needs, and design experiments to improve customer experiences. The role emphasizes metric-driven thinking, creative problem-solving, and leading multi-functional projects with high technical standards.
Key responsibilities include building new features and products with cross-functional teams, implementing experiments to enhance customer experiences, tuning and polishing features to excellence, and maintaining high engineering standards. You'll have the opportunity to drive direct business impact and shape Brex's long-term technical vision.
The role is based in San Francisco with a hybrid work model requiring a minimum of three coordinated days in the office per week (Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays), plus up to four weeks per year of fully remote work flexibility.
Required qualifications include 7+ years of professional experience with modern frontend technologies (ES6+, React, TypeScript, Webpack), experience architecting and testing client-side code end-to-end, and a track record developing client-facing software products. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential. Bonus qualifications include experience with React Native for mobile, design tools, excellent writing skills, and a proactive approach.
