Salary: USD 200,000 - 400,000 / annual
Decagon is a conversational AI platform enabling enterprises to deploy AI agents for customer support and operations. The Enterprise Product team builds the platform that customers use to create, maintain, and improve their AI agents, transforming complex engineering into intuitive self-serve products.
As a Senior Software Engineer on this team, you will own the design and development of robust, scalable systems that allow customers to build and optimize AI agents with confidence. You'll work closely with product, design, and customer-facing teams to understand workflows and create elegant abstractions that scale across the customer base.
Key responsibilities include:
- Eliminating manual engineering work by building self-serve functionality for agent configuration, training, and deployment
- Creating AI-powered tools that enable non-technical teams to manage sophisticated workflows without coding
- Designing configuration abstractions that balance power and simplicity across diverse use cases
- Building monitoring and analytics that surface actionable insights for agent improvement
- Owning features end-to-end from technical architecture through deployment and iteration
You bring 4+ years of full-stack product development experience with strong product thinking. You're proficient in Python and/or TypeScript, comfortable across the entire stack, and have a track record of translating complex technical capabilities into simple, usable interfaces while balancing technical excellence with pragmatic shipping.
Ideal candidates have experience with security-sensitive systems (authentication, data access controls), developer tools/APIs/platforms, LLMs/prompt engineering/AI agents, asynchronous programming, or observability/analytics products.
