Bitwarden is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Data Analytics team, responsible for building and maintaining core cross-cutting areas of the codebase that enable secure, performant, and user-focused software development. This is a full-stack role with a primary focus on front-end architecture and data insights. Key responsibilities include becoming an expert on Bitwarden's core front-end codebase (web client, desktop client, browser extension), participating in hands-on feature development, and working on reports, localization, generators, and file import/export functionality. You will actively engage with cross-functional teams to ensure core code supports new features, participate in code reviews to spread technical knowledge, and independently plan, estimate, and deliver new work and bug fixes. A significant portion of the role focuses on improving the Data Insights & Reporting team's features, including risk insights, reports, and event logs. You'll work on aggregating and encrypting/decrypting large datasets to create reports that help individuals and organizations improve their security posture. Required qualifications include 6-10 years of software engineering experience with demonstrated expertise in building complex Angular applications, reactive programming using RxJS or similar libraries, front-end state management systems, and Tailwind CSS for component styling. You should bring a collaborative and adaptable mindset, excellent communication skills, and a genuine enthusiasm for open source and internet security. Strong problem-solving abilities and familiarity with modern encryption concepts are highly valued.
