Echodyne is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Product Integration Team (PIT), a group focused on enabling seamless interoperability between distributed sensor systems and mission command environments. The company develops compact solid-state beam-steering radar technology for autonomous vehicles, uncrewed aircraft, drones, and critical infrastructure security applications.
In this role, you will design and deliver integration-ready software that works under real-world constraints—often with incomplete information, evolving requirements, and direct feedback from field users. You will build from 0→1, rapidly prototyping new capabilities and iterating based on real-world feedback. This is a hands-on, builder-first position for engineers who thrive in ambiguity, move quickly, and take ownership from concept to deployment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and implementing integration layers, middleware, and interfaces that enable rapid adoption and deployment in real-world environments
- Working directly with field systems engineers and external partners during live deployments and integration events
- Investigating issues, developing solutions in real time, and ensuring successful system operation
- Defining problems, shaping solutions, and ensuring deliverables are usable, scalable, and mission-ready
- Supporting customer sites and integration events (travel required)
This position reports to the VP of Software & Firmware Engineering and is ideal for engineers comfortable with ambiguity who can move quickly and take end-to-end ownership of complex integration challenges in defense and aerospace applications.
