The Ecosystem team builds the platforms and integrations that connect Airwallex with external software systems. This includes strategic accounting integrations, marketplace connections, payment plugins, open-banking integrations, and the infrastructure powering public APIs for third-party developers. As a Senior Software Engineer on this team, you will lead high-level design and long-term technical roadmap for the App Marketplace or Extension Framework. You'll design and implement core SDKs, webhooks, and UI-extension patterns enabling third-party developers to embed functionality directly into Airwallex. You'll establish rigorous coding standards, observability patterns, and security protocols across the team. Key responsibilities include: - Platform Architecture & Strategy: Lead design and technical roadmap for the App Marketplace or Extension Framework - Extensibility Frameworks: Design SDKs, webhooks, and UI-extension patterns for third-party integration - Technical Excellence: Establish coding standards, observability, and security protocols - Developer Experience: Build documentation, sandboxes, and tooling for external developers You'll collaborate with backend engineers, product managers, designers, and go-to-market teams to ship secure, reliable experiences that simplify financial operations and unlock new use cases. Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field; 5+ years developing internet applications, large financial systems, or e-commerce platforms; proficiency in Java, Kotlin, C++, Python, or similar languages; direct experience building or maintaining public-facing developer platforms, app marketplaces, or extension frameworks. Preferred: Deep expertise in Domain-Driven Design (DDD); hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and observability tools; experience integrating AI/LLM models for automation.
