As a Senior Software Engineer (E3), you will own end-to-end design, development, and deployment of high-scale web and mobile features. You'll work on complex software projects with aggressive timelines, prioritizing high-ROI work and moving quickly on projects that matter most. Your responsibilities include maintaining peak team productivity in a fast-paced environment, partnering with product managers and designers to architect simple and maintainable solutions, and raising engineering standards through thoughtful code reviews and technical feedback.
You bring 5–8 years of experience building and shipping high-traffic web or mobile applications in production. You have strong coding and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in frontend technologies like React, Redux, and responsive design systems. Experience with system design, distributed systems, and both relational and NoSQL databases is essential. While familiarity with Instawork's stack (Python/Django, Celery, MySQL, Redis, ElasticSearch, React Native) is preferred, it is not mandatory.
