You will join the Data Infrastructure team as a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Distributed Data Systems. This role focuses on building and optimizing the cornerstone infrastructure that powers Onehouse's platform. You'll work on deeply technical challenges including database optimization, distributed systems design, and large-scale data processing under the hood of Apache Hudi.
The engineering team bridges open source and enterprise, directly contributing to Apache Hudi (used at scale by Uber, Amazon, ByteDance, and others) while defining a new industry category: the transactional data lake. As a senior engineer, you'll tackle complex systems problems, mentor junior engineers, and help shape the technical direction of the data infrastructure layer.
Onehouse is backed by $68M in total funding (including a recent $35M Series B from Craft, Greylock, and Addition Ventures) and is composed of seasoned builders from companies like Uber, Snowflake, AWS, LinkedIn, and Confluent. The team is self-driven and focused on solving the hardest problems in distributed data systems.
