Bitwarden is a trusted identity security platform serving millions of users worldwide with password management, secrets management, and passwordless innovations. As a Senior Full Stack Engineer on the Data Insights and Reporting (DIRT) team, you will build reports, dashboards, and integrations that transform vault data and activity into actionable intelligence for enterprise administrators. Your work will surface at-risk credentials, map access permissions, protect users from phishing attacks in the browser, and stream security events into SIEM and collaboration tools. You'll work across the full stack—designing and evolving APIs, data models, and encrypted report structures that scale to enterprise-level data. Responsibilities include building features across Access Intelligence, event integrations, the browser extension's phishing blocker, the shared Rust core library, and the Bitwarden Splunk app. You'll take ownership of your work, partner with QA on testing, review pull requests to help teammates grow, and collaborate with the open-source community on GitHub contributions. The role requires extensive experience with .NET Core and C# for backend services, strong proficiency with Angular, TypeScript, and RxJS for front-end development, and deep understanding of relational database design, SQL Server optimization, and RESTful API design. You should have demonstrated experience building enterprise features where auditability, permissions, and compliance are critical. A collaborative mindset, excellent communication, and genuine enthusiasm for open-source and internet security are essential. Nice-to-haves include Rust experience (especially for cross-platform SDKs), Python or SIEM platform experience (Splunk, Datadog, Elastic), exposure to zero-knowledge or client-side-encrypted systems, browser extension development (Manifest V3, service workers, IndexedDB), and familiarity with generative AI coding platforms. This is an all-remote team; candidates must be located in the U.S. No visa sponsorship is offered.
