Robinhood is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join its Developer Experience (DevX) team, which builds and operates core developer infrastructure serving thousands of engineers across the company. This role focuses on building and scaling systems that make development fast, reliable, and cost-efficient.
Key responsibilities include managing and optimizing monorepo builds using Bazel, owning the remote build execution cluster that powers them, and scaling CI pipelines to handle thousands of daily builds while maintaining speed, safety, and reliability. You will improve the developer onboarding experience by reducing time-to-first-commit and provide remote development environments that accelerate local workflows. The goal is to ensure developers can code, test, and deploy with minimal friction.
You should bring experience building and maintaining developer infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, or large-scale build systems like Bazel. Proficiency in Go or Python is required, along with experience in distributed or remote build execution systems, containerization, and Kubernetes orchestration. Strong problem-solving skills and a focus on improving developer productivity and engineering workflows are essential.
The role is based in either the New York City or Menlo Park office, with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week.
