Anduril Industries is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to build a new design review tool—an interactive workspace where hardware engineers can review, challenge, and preserve decisions about complex physical systems. Today, design feedback is fragmented across email, screenshots, and disconnected tools. This role will unify artifacts and decision workflows so engineers catch problems before fabrication and ensure stakeholder alignment. You'll be part of a new team within Forge, Anduril's internal platform for building company software. Rather than reinventing foundational infrastructure, you'll focus on domain-specific challenges: interactive 3D/CAD experiences, geometry processing, and review workflows that mechanical engineers depend on daily. You'll help define how domain-rich products integrate with the platform and establish patterns for future teams. Key responsibilities include designing and building CAD model review, annotation, and revision workflows from 3D rendering and geometry handling in the browser to backend data models capturing design decisions and history. You'll set technical direction across the full stack: interactive web experiences, 3D visualization, client/server rendering, native compute pipelines, and large-file performance. You'll work directly with mechanical engineers and designers to translate manufacturing-intent feedback into reliable software, handle large and complex CAD files performantly, and lead cross-functional investigations from pilot to production. Required: 5+ years building and operating complex production software with experience leading ambiguous technical initiatives. Deep proficiency in TypeScript, React, and Node.js; strong API design, data modeling, and asynchronous processing skills. Experience building performance-sensitive interactive applications with spatial, layered, or 3D data; direct partnership with technical customers; cloud platforms, containerized deployments, authentication, and observability. Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration. U.S. Person status required due to export-controlled data access. Preferred: Interactive graphics experience (Three.js, WebGL, game engines); CAD/EDA platforms and geometry kernels; geometric data models (B-rep, meshes, spatial structures); 3D graphics fundamentals; engineering file formats (STEP, glTF, Gerber); C++/Python integration; large/untrusted file processing; domain experience in MCAD, ECAD, manufacturing, PLM, or robotics.
