Teamworks is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to own and modernize the data integrations that power its Athlete Management System (AMS). The company operates a sports technology platform serving 7,000+ organizations globally, from collegiate programs to major professional leagues.
In this role, you will be responsible for the reliability, resilience, and observability of approximately 150 RESTful vendor integrations that ingest athlete performance data from wearables, force plates, GPS trackers, and other IoT hardware. Your initial focus will be maintaining and improving the existing C# .NET integration platform, including day-to-day and on-call support for data gaps and mismatches. You will independently investigate issues with third-party vendor APIs and manage technical communication with external teams to resolve problems at their source.
Over time, you will lead the architectural migration of these integrations from C# .NET to Python and a modern lakehouse architecture, which will become the central hub for hundreds of performance data pipelines across Teamworks products. This role sits at the intersection of maintaining today's systems while designing tomorrow's infrastructure. You will also strengthen the security posture of integrations to support deployment in military IL4 and IL5 environments for tactical customers.
Key responsibilities include raising the bar on team understanding through documentation and knowledge sharing, independently driving vendor investigations, and progressively porting integrations to the new lakehouse while maintaining operational excellence.
Required qualifications: 7+ years of software engineering experience with deep C# and .NET mastery; demonstrated experience designing scalable distributed architectures on AWS with Terraform fluency; experience building RESTful API integrations with OAuth 2.0 and Authorization Code grant protocols; ability to independently manage vendor technical communication; US citizenship and US-based residency (required for tactical and military customer support).
Preferred qualifications include proficiency with modern AI techniques in the software development lifecycle, strong Python skills or readiness to develop them, and experience with IoT, wearable, or hardware-adjacent APIs where data quality issues originate outside your own system.
