Join Rubrik's Continuous Product Delivery (CPD) team as a Senior Software Engineer focused on identity and access management (IAM). You will design, build, and harden the authentication and authorization systems that protect Rubrik's on-premise data backup and management platform.
In this role, you'll own the full lifecycle of identity flows—from OIDC/OAuth 2.0 and SAML 2.0 integrations with enterprise identity providers to Active Directory and certificate-based trust chains. You'll be responsible for token and assertion correctness (issuance, validation, expiry, rotation), applying strong cryptography and PKI practices (X.509 certificates, key rotation, TLS), and building reverse-proxy/HTTP-layer components that front customer authentication traffic.
Key responsibilities include designing secure identity systems with threat modeling at the core; debugging and resolving customer-facing identity/access issues in collaboration with support; maintaining a Windows companion application in C#/.NET; writing comprehensive end-to-end tests covering auth flows and edge cases (clock skew, revoked tokens, malformed assertions); and documenting design decisions and known issues as the team matures.
You'll work closely with core engineering, product, and support teams to deliver long-term stability and customer delight. The role requires strong Golang programming skills, deep practical knowledge of identity protocols and applied cryptography, working knowledge of Active Directory and Linux, and solid understanding of OS fundamentals, networking, and distributed systems. You should be comfortable reasoning about threat models and building software to protect mission-critical systems, not just shipping features.
