DriveWealth is a global B2B fintech platform democratizing access to financial markets through an API-based infrastructure. The company enables partners worldwide to offer seamless investing and trading experiences across US equities, mutual funds, ETFs, fixed income, and options.
As a Senior Software Engineer on the Core Trade team, you will own the technical design and delivery of high-impact Java projects supporting DriveWealth's trading systems. You'll work cross-functionally with trade desks, quantitative analysts, product managers, risk management, and compliance teams to enhance and scale the trading platform.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading technical design of greenfield and brownfield Java projects using modern best practices and cutting-edge technology
- Optimizing engine latency and throughput across various trading scenarios
- Monitoring production systems and analyzing data sets to troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly
- Delivering solutions for global partners across Fixed Income, Options, and Equities asset classes
- Collaborating across engineering, product, and business teams to support trading workflows
You bring 5+ years of experience building low-latency, high-throughput distributed systems. You have deep Java expertise including multithreading, concurrency, garbage collection tuning, and modern software development practices. Experience with Fixed Income and Options asset classes, AWS deployment, and brokerage/fintech systems is valued. You excel at writing effective unit and integration tests, have strong communication and analytical skills, and understand operating system and networking fundamentals.
