Salary: USD 30,000 - 80,000 / annual

The Core Experiences Team builds and maintains foundational services and SDKs that power Speechify's product across platforms. As a Senior Software Engineer on this team, you'll work at the intersection of product and infrastructure, designing clear, reliable APIs and simple systems that directly enhance user experience.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with Product Teams to scope projects, navigate integration/UX tradeoffs, and deliver solutions via cross-platform SDK
- Optimizing existing functionality to improve performance (faster loading, intelligent parsing) through efficient abstractions and algorithm improvements
- Shipping cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and jobs using Kotlin
You should bring systems thinking and understand that optimizing requires end-to-end design with a focus on simplicity. Speed is essential—you generate ideas quickly and know what can ship now versus what needs time. You thrive in a high-growth, remote-first environment, balancing focused heads-down work with strategic collaboration across opinionated designers, marketers, and product managers.
