Salary: USD 140,000 - 200,000 / annual

You'll join the Core Experiences Team, which builds and maintains the foundational services and SDKs powering Speechify's product across platforms. This is a critical role at the intersection of product and infrastructure, requiring strategic thinking and a passion for designing clear, reliable APIs and simple systems that enhance user experience.
Key responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Product Teams to scope projects, reduce scope for faster customer feedback, and navigate integration/UX tradeoffs across product teams via cross-platform SDK
- Optimize existing functionality to ship faster loading times and more intelligent parsing through efficient abstractions and algorithm improvements
- Ship cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and jobs using Kotlin
Ideal candidates demonstrate:
- Systems thinking: understanding that end-to-end design and simplicity are valuable
- Speed: ability to generate ideas quickly and decide what ships now vs. what needs time
- Focus: capacity to work autonomously in a high-growth, remote startup environment
- Collaboration: skill in working with opinionated designers, marketers, and product managers
- Technical expertise in Kotlin Multiplatform (Java experience acceptable but role is Kotlin-focused)
- Prior GCP experience is a plus
