Salary: USD 140,000 - 200,000 / annual

You'll join the Core Experiences Team, which builds and maintains the foundational services and SDKs powering Speechify's product across platforms. This is a critical role at the intersection of product and infrastructure, requiring someone who thinks strategically about API design and system reliability.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with product teams to scope projects, reduce scope for faster customer feedback, and navigate integration/UX tradeoffs across different platforms
- Optimizing existing functionality to improve performance (faster loading, intelligent parsing) through better abstractions and algorithms
- Shipping cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and jobs using Kotlin
You should have strong systems thinking, valuing simplicity and end-to-end design. You work quickly to generate ideas and prioritize what ships now versus what needs more time. You thrive in high-growth startup environments with remote teams, knowing when to engage collaboratively and when to focus heads-down. You can inspire and negotiate effectively with designers, marketers, and product managers.
Preferred tech stack includes Kotlin Multiplatform (Java experience acceptable) and GCP experience is a plus. The role offers competitive compensation, equity, and the opportunity to impact a transformative industry at the intersection of AI and audio.
