Salary: USD 140,000 - 200,000 / annual

You'll join the Core Experiences Team, which builds and maintains the foundational services and SDKs powering Speechify's product across platforms. This is a critical role at the intersection of product and infrastructure, requiring someone who thinks strategically about API design and system reliability.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with product teams to scope projects, manage integration/UX tradeoffs, and deliver solutions via cross-platform SDK
- Optimizing existing functionality to improve performance (faster loading, intelligent parsing) through better abstractions and algorithms
- Shipping cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and jobs using Kotlin
You should have systems thinking and understand that optimizing requires end-to-end design with a focus on simplicity. You work quickly to generate ideas and prioritize what ships now versus what needs time. You thrive in a high-growth, remote, asynchronous environment and collaborate effectively with designers, marketers, and product managers.
Preferred tech stack includes Kotlin Multiplatform (Java experience acceptable but role is Kotlin-focused) and GCP experience is a plus.
