Salary: USD 30,000 - 120,000 / annual

You'll join the Core Experiences Team, which builds and maintains the foundational services, SDKs, and APIs that power Speechify's product across all platforms (web, mobile, desktop). This is a critical role at the intersection of product and infrastructure, where you'll think strategically about system design and user experience.
Key responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Product Teams to scope projects, reduce scope for faster customer feedback, and navigate integration/UX tradeoffs across different platforms
- Optimize existing functionality—faster loading, intelligent parsing—by designing efficient abstractions and improving algorithms
- Ship cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and jobs using Kotlin and Kotlin Multiplatform
- Design clear, reliable APIs and simple systems that directly enhance user experience
You thrive with systems thinking, understanding that end-to-end design and simplicity are valuable. You work quickly to generate ideas and decide what ships now versus what needs time. You're focused and know how to balance engagement with deep work in a high-growth, remote-first environment. You collaborate well with opinionated designers, marketers, and PMs.
Preferred tech stack: Kotlin Multiplatform (Java experience acceptable), GCP experience a plus.
