Salary: USD 30,000 - 65,000 / annual

You'll join the Core Experiences Team, which builds and maintains the foundational services and SDKs powering Speechify's product across all platforms. This is a critical role at the intersection of product and infrastructure, requiring strategic thinking and a passion for designing clear, reliable APIs and simple systems that directly enhance user experience.
Key responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Product Teams to scope projects, reduce scope for faster customer feedback, navigate integration/UX tradeoffs, and deliver solutions via cross-platform SDK
- Optimize existing functionality to ship faster loading, more intelligent parsing, and improved algorithms through better abstractions
- Ship cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and jobs using Kotlin
Ideal candidates demonstrate systems thinking (understanding end-to-end design and valuing simplicity), speed (quickly generating ideas and knowing what ships now vs. later), focus (thriving in a high-growth, busy, remote environment), and collaboration (inspiring and negotiating with designers, marketers, and PMs).
Preferred tech stack: Kotlin Multiplatform (Java experience acceptable but role is Kotlin-focused), with GCP experience a plus.
