Salary: USD 140,000 - 200,000 / annual

You'll join the Core Experiences Team, which builds and maintains the foundational services, SDKs, and backend infrastructure that power Speechify's product across all platforms. This is a critical role at the intersection of product and infrastructure, where you'll think strategically about system design and API clarity.
Key responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Product Teams to scope projects, manage integration/UX tradeoffs, and deliver solutions via cross-platform SDK
- Optimize existing functionality to improve performance (faster loading, intelligent parsing) through better abstractions and algorithms
- Ship cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and jobs using Kotlin
- Work end-to-end on system design, balancing speed of delivery with long-term simplicity and reliability
You should have strong systems thinking, work quickly to generate and prioritize ideas, maintain focus in a high-growth remote environment, and collaborate effectively with designers, marketers, and product managers. The preferred tech stack is Kotlin Multiplatform (Java experience acceptable), with GCP experience a plus.
