Salary: USD 30,000 - 120,000 / annual

You'll join the Core Experiences team, which builds and maintains the foundational services, SDKs, and infrastructure that power Speechify's product across iOS, Android, web, and other platforms. This is a critical role at the intersection of product and infrastructure, requiring strategic thinking and a passion for designing clear, reliable APIs and simple systems that directly enhance user experience.
Key responsibilities:
- Collaborate with product teams to scope projects, reduce scope for faster customer feedback, and navigate integration/UX tradeoffs across different platforms
- Optimize existing functionality to ship features like faster loading and more intelligent parsing through efficient abstractions and algorithm improvements
- Ship cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and jobs using Kotlin
- Work end-to-end on system design, balancing simplicity with performance
Ideal candidates demonstrate systems thinking, speed in generating and evaluating ideas, focus in a high-growth remote environment, and strong collaboration skills with designers, marketers, and product managers. Preferred tech stack includes Kotlin Multiplatform (Java experience acceptable), with GCP experience a plus.
