You'll join the Core Experiences Team, which builds and maintains the foundational services and SDKs powering Speechify's product across all platforms. This is a critical role at the intersection of product and infrastructure, where you'll design clear, reliable APIs and simple systems that directly enhance user experience.
Key responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Product Teams to scope projects, reduce scope for faster customer feedback, and navigate integration/UX tradeoffs across different product teams
- Deliver solutions via Speechify's cross-platform SDK
- Optimize existing functionality—ship faster loading, more intelligent parsing, and improved algorithms through better abstractions
- Build cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and jobs using Kotlin
Ideal candidates demonstrate systems thinking (end-to-end design, valuing simplicity), speed (quickly generating ideas and shipping), focus (thriving in a high-growth, remote environment), and collaboration (working effectively with designers, marketers, and PMs).
Preferred tech stack: Kotlin Multiplatform (Java experience acceptable but role is Kotlin-focused), GCP experience a plus.
