You'll join the Core Experiences Team, which owns the foundational services, SDKs, and APIs that power Speechify's product across all platforms (web, mobile, desktop). This is a strategic role at the intersection of product and infrastructure, where you'll directly shape how millions of users interact with the platform.
Key responsibilities:
- Partner with Product Teams to scope features, reduce scope for faster iteration, and navigate integration/UX tradeoffs across platforms
- Optimize existing functionality—faster loading, smarter parsing, better algorithms—by designing efficient abstractions
- Build cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and jobs using Kotlin and Kotlin Multiplatform
- Think end-to-end about system design, prioritizing simplicity and reliability
Ideal candidates bring systems thinking, speed of execution, focus in a high-growth remote environment, and strong collaboration skills with designers, marketers, and product managers. Preferred tech stack: Kotlin Multiplatform (Java experience acceptable), GCP experience a plus.
