Salary: USD 30,000 - 120,000 / annual

You'll join the Core Experiences Team, which builds and maintains the foundational services and SDKs powering Speechify's product across platforms. This is a critical role at the intersection of product and infrastructure, requiring strategic thinking and a passion for designing clear, reliable APIs and simple systems that enhance user experience.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with Product Teams to scope projects, reduce scope for faster customer feedback, and navigate integration/UX tradeoffs across different product teams
- Optimizing existing functionality to ship faster loading times and more intelligent parsing through efficient abstractions and algorithm improvements
- Shipping cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and jobs using Kotlin
You should have strong systems thinking, understanding that optimizing requires end-to-end design with a focus on simplicity. You work quickly to generate ideas and options, knowing what can ship now versus what needs time. You thrive in a high-growth, remote, asynchronous environment and know how to balance engagement with focused heads-down work. You collaborate effectively with opinionated designers, marketers, and product managers.
Preferred tech stack includes Kotlin Multiplatform (Java experience acceptable but role focuses on Kotlin Multiplatform) and prior GCP experience is a plus.
