Qualtrics is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Core Enrichments team in Krakow. This role focuses on building and maintaining critical data services that transform raw data into valuable insights used across the company. You will own high-scale backend systems written in Go, Python, Java, and Scala, working closely with engineers, product managers, and data scientists to design robust, reliable, and performant services that impact millions of users.
Key responsibilities include owning the design and end-to-end delivery of data enrichment services processing millions of events daily, improving system architecture for reliability and scalability, mentoring team members through code reviews and knowledge sharing, collaborating with product and operations teams to identify technical risks, and driving improvements in testing, monitoring, CI/CD, and automation. You will influence technical roadmap decisions and contribute to cross-team initiatives that enhance platform capabilities.
Success in this role requires demonstrated experience owning complex backend services in production, strong software development skills across multiple languages, proven ability to design scalable distributed data processing systems, experience mentoring others and influencing engineering practices, a track record of reducing technical debt and operational risk, and familiarity with cloud-native infrastructure and automated testing frameworks.
