Sanity is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to build Content Agent, the operations layer for structured content within their AI-powered content operating system. This role involves full-stack product work in TypeScript and React, spanning MCP tools and integrations, agent orchestration, system prompts, and reliability evals.
You'll work on:
- Full-stack product development: React interfaces in Dashboards, APIs, and backend services
- MCP tools and integrations that extend agent capabilities
- Agent orchestration logic: deciding what the agent does, in what order, and when to escalate to humans
- System prompts as engineering artifacts, not afterthoughts
- Evals and experiments to measure and improve reliability in production
- GROQ (Sanity's content query language) to give agents deep understanding of structured content
- Shaping Content Agent's future with product and design teams
You should have:
- Strong TypeScript and React skills, comfortable across the full stack (frontend, APIs, backend)
- Shipped LLM-based systems in production; understand that the hard part is reliability at scale, not one-off demos
- Systems thinking: given a new capability, you think through user intent, edge cases, failure modes, and architectural implications
- Strong writing skills; you understand that agent instructions are prose running on systems that read literally
- Comfort with probabilistic systems, experimentation, evals, and statistical thinking
- Real experience or curiosity about MCP, tool-use patterns, and agent architectures
- Craft in code, writing, and product
