The Connected Workflows team builds Samsara's digital platform that replaces paper-based workflows with configurable, mobile-first solutions powering critical work across safety, compliance, maintenance, and field operations.
As a Senior Software Engineer on Connected Workflows, you will lead high-impact projects across the full stack: dashboard, mobile experiences, backend services, workflow automation, permissions, reporting, and platform integrations. You'll drive technical direction, break down ambiguous product problems, mentor engineers, and deliver reliable systems supporting mission-critical customer workflows.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design and build end-to-end Connected Workflows features across web, mobile, backend services, and integrations
- Lead technical projects from discovery through rollout, including architecture, implementation, testing, observability, and launch
- Improve scalability, reliability, and extensibility of the platform as usage grows
- Partner with Product and Design to translate customer needs into powerful workflows for field and operations teams
- Raise engineering quality through code reviews, testing strategy, operational excellence, and mentorship
- Champion Samsara's cultural principles (customer success, long-term thinking, growth mindset, inclusivity, teamwork) as the company scales
Minimum qualifications: 5+ years professional software engineering experience, strong production web application and backend services expertise, proficiency in modern programming languages and frameworks. The role is fully remote for US-based candidates and offers meaningful influence over both product experience and technical foundation supporting future growth.
